World Masters, Triton representation for Australia

Congratulations to The Pink Pointers and The Perth Cockatoos (both of which include several of our own Triton players, who went through the 2017 World FINA Masters in Budapest in brilliant fashion. The Perth Cockatoos 70+ won GOLD.

It is fantastic to see so many of our ‘middle aged’ guys and girls still enjoying the sport and making us proud.

Aussie Junior Men finished 11th at the World Junior Championships. Congratulations to all the boys, especially Tim Putt, who’s a regular fixture around our club!

The Australian female born 2000 team went to Europe to play in the Pythia Cup. Congratulations on a great tournament girls, especially Jamie Oberman and Heather Laird, our sensational Triton athletes. A great achievement girls.

The Australian male born 2000 team went to Belgrade for the FINA Junior Men’s World Champs. Congratulations lads on a great tournament, especially Matthew Oberman, our awesome Triton member.

Some news about Russell McKinnon, Triton player and WAWP referee. Russell has been nominated by Water Polo Australia and Swimming Australia for a sixth term on the FINA Media Committee (since 1998). Russell was a FINA Delegate at the women's Super-Final in Shanghai and the first match was his 3000th water polo international. He was also be a delegate to the FINA World Champs in Budapest in July. Congratulations on these remarkable achievements Russell.
